Microwave

There was a very good presentation at one of our rescent LARC meetings on 10GHz and 24GHz. It was quite interesting.

I, VE3SLO, and a small few other amateurs, (VA3CDC, VE3KOB, VE3CGN) have an interest in the 10GHz band as I have a few gunnplexers I would like to use. Some more time and knowlege is needed though before anything can be done. The nice weather has arrived now and maybe we'll see some interesting activity on this page soon.

Primary mode of interest is high speed data communications well over 1 megabit. Creating a packet radio like full duplex "internetwork" that, of course, interfaces directly to an ethernet adapter. Essentially a fast wireless wide area network for amateur radio.

Any input from anyone would really help here. Contribution of know how for such a project will make this possible sooner.

There is little to add for this topic. Activity for this range of operation is extremely limited.
