Mutual AID - Advice, Info, Demos

If you totalled up the experience, know-how and expertise of all the LARC members, you'd have a pretty amazing collection of information on Ham radio. Mutual AID is a way for us to help each other out by sharing Advice, Information, and Demonstrations (AID), so we can solve problems, explore new areas, and get more enjoyment out of our hobby. Here's how it works:

If you could use some sort of AID, email us a description of what you're looking for. If it's a new topic, we'll add it to the table below, to let people know we're looking for volunteers to assist. If we already have one or more people who have offerred to help with that topic, we'll send them an email letting them know that you've made an inquiry, and provide your email address.

If you've got experience in a particular area, and would be willing to answer questions, or do some informal demos, please email us, and we'll add the topic to the table, with an indication that a helper is available. If there already is a pending request for help, we'll let you know by email.

We're careful about protecting people's privacy. If you ask for, or offer, assistance, we won't publish your email, or even your callsign on the website, only a count of people who have asked, or offerred, for each topic. Only the executive will have the lists needed to match people up. We're interested in your comments on the Mutual AID idea - please let us know your thoughts.
