BASKETT, Ivan Dell – On Saturday, August 18, 2018, Ivan passed away peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.  Beloved husband of the late Norma (Gregg).  Dear father of Brian and Anne.  Cherished grandfather of John (Julie Anne), Eric (Shirlyn), Heather (Stéphan), Kurt, and Brad (Melissa).  Great-grandfather of Johanna, Jillian, Ethan, and Aubrey.  Remembered by his sister-in-law, Dorothy, and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents George and Mildred, his sisters Betty (Jim), Mary (Bill), and Barb (Bill), and his brothers Jack (Jonny), Bill (Bea), and Jake.  A heartfelt “thank you” to the many individuals involved in Ivan’s well-being over the past few years.  Ivan started his career as a cheese maker and he subsequently became a marketing officer for the Ontario Milk Marketing Board where he worked for 3 decades before retiring in 1986.  Over his 97 years, Ivan was an avid amateur radio enthusiast, square dancer, fisherman, and Parkwood Hospital volunteer, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, and Colborne/Empress United Church.  Family and friends will be received on Friday August 24th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll where a celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Diane Macpherson officiating.  Donations in Ivan’s memory may be made to a charity of your preference.

WILLIAMS, Edmund (Ed) - G.R. VE3KSH Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday, December 24, 2017, of Turnbull’s Grove - RR 1 Dashwood in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Pat) (Watson) for 51 years. Dear brother-in-law of Beth and Russ Radcliffe of Lucan, Nancy Morrison of Brinsley, and Lorna Watson of Winnipeg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and missed by his beloved companion Bunny. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Bob Watson and Don Morrison, and his special canine companion Scampy. A private family interment will be held at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Friends will be welcome at a celebration of Ed’s life, with details announced in Spring 2018. RIDEOUT, Bill - Peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 Bill Rideout passed away at St Joseph's Hospice, London at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 55 years to Ruth (Jackson). Loving father of Debra Chantler (Jim), Tim Rideout (Carolyn), and Bill Rideout (Dana Gander). Dear grandpa Willie of Jessie Lee Umbelina (Rob), Rebecca Chantler (Sean Hunter), Matt (Zhaoyu), Bryan, Trisha (Justin Phillips), Adam (Desi Valencia-Lopez), Amanda Rideout, and one great grandaughter Aria Umbelina. Dear brother of Doug, Alice (Fred Wilcox), Betty Violette (Gill), Ivan (Nancy), Harvey, Jasper, Lonnie (Gwen) predeceased by Archie, Clara LaMont, Allen and Stephen. Brother in law of Lewis LaMont, Diana, and Sheila. Bill served proudly for 20 years as a Ontario Provincial Police Officer. After retiring from the force, he enjoyed being a real estate agent. Bill was best known for his love of music, he was happiest when playing the guitar backing Ruth on the fiddle. A proud member of the Maritime Club and he taught Banjo and guitar lessons to many. A Memorial Mass will be held at St George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West London, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12 noon. Reception to follow in the church Hall. As per Bills' request, musicians please bring your intruments for a kitchen party! In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St Joseph's Hospice. Of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, April 13, 2017, in his 96th year. He was the beloved husband for nearly 55 years to the late Inge (nÈe Kreuzer) Krack (April 21, 2005). Father of Sylvia Beke (Alex) of Mississauga, and Michael Krack of Los Altos, CA. Grandfather of Michelle Bown (Steve), and great grandfather of Alyssa and Thomas, all of Burlington. Also remembered by other family members in Luxembourg, as well as many friends in St. Petersburg, FL where he was a snowbird for nearly 30 years. A brother, Nicolas Krack predeceased him. Born in Luxembourg, May 12, 1921, he was the son of the late Michael and Marguerite (nÈe Schwindal) Krack. Frank was a retired engineer at Singer Controls, St. Thomas. He was a member of Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church. Frank was an avid ham radio operator, with call VE3FWN, and enjoyed oil painting. The funeral service was held at Eastwood Fellowship Baptist Church, 400 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Saturday, April 29th at 2:00 p.m.

Beloved husband of Jeanine Pattyn. Dear father of Jules and Michele (DeCourcy) Pattyn, Linda (Pattyn) and Ronald Vandendriessche, Juliana (Pattyn) and David Marr, Mary Ann (Pattyn) and Steven Montour, and Emil and Debbie (Christie) Pattyn. Predeceased by son Robert Pattyn Jr. in France. Proud grandfather of Nicole (Kevin), Michel (Rebecca), Robert (Cheryl), Marcel (Sandy), Jules (Sarah), Nicolas (Chrystine), Ryan, Andrew (Katherine), Philip (Kaitlyn), and Justin. Blessed great-grandfather of Sophie, Andre, Margot, Paige, Stefan, Brittany, Matthew, Ethan, Jocelyn, Luke, Joel, Ellie, Isabella, Olivia, Claire and Lauren. Brother of Nicole (Pattyn) and Yves Maecker of France, and predeceased by brother Albert and Therese (Masschelier) of France. Robert and his wife formed a successful landscaping business in the London area. He was very proud of making the Forest City a greener space for all to enjoy. Our deepest gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff at Highview Residences and CCAC in London, Ontario.
