October 9 to 15, 2022

This year, Fire Prevention Week will run from 8:00 a.m. local time on Sunday October 9 to 8:00 p.m. local time on October 15. Monday October 10th is the Canadian Thanksgiving Day. 

For those not familiar with the use of the special call VE3FIRE, this call is put on the air during Fire Prevention Week across North America. It is part of a program where we partner with ten US Stations with call signs N0F through N9F and two Wild Card stations KF2IRE and VE3FIRE. I am looking for operators to volunteer to use the VE3FIRE call during the week of October 9 to 15, Sunday to Saturday. I will need to know what bands/modes you would like to operate, what antennas you will have available, what logging program you will be using (N3FJP preferred) and when you can operate. You will need to convert your log for that week to an ADI file and submit it to Doug VE3IDT (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

I need your commitment prior to September 30th. Time slot preferences are on a first come, first served basis with a cut-off date of midnight on September 30th. If you apply after this date, you run the risk of obtaining any prime-time slots. I will not be bumping assigned slots to accommodate late comers.
