The 2002 LARC flea market was a great success. (Click on the pictures below for a larger one, then the browser back button to return).
The flea market was held again this year at the Western Fair Special Events Building.
There was a huge lineup waiting to get in at 9:00 AM sharp, being held back by LARC Secretary Brian Bouckley VA3ATB and Membership Director Carlo Cervoni VE3CVA. The $6.00 admission not only got them into the flea but gave them a chance to win one of many door prizes.
Here is a panoramic shot of the large crowd visiting the many ham and commercial vendors.
On the left hard working Jeff Peacock VE3IOS and Anne Skipp VA3FRO answer questions at the main entrance. Many thanks to Jeff and Anne for their hard work! In the center LARC membership director Carlo Cervoni VE3CVA signs up yet another LARC member. On the right Past President David Young VE3EAY announces yet another door prize winner.
Radio Amateurs of Canada was well represented by (left to right) by volunteer Susan McConnell VE3SUH, RAC Southern Region Director Robert D Cooke VE3BDB, RAC Southern Region Assistant Director Gordon Moogk VE3DBP and volunteer Carol Little VE3IYY. On the right Bob answers a question from someone interested in learning more about RAC.
Commercial products were well represented by Radioworld and Maple Leaf Communications.
As well as the usual collection of ham items, there was this interesting collection of antique radios for sale. In the center some vendors take a break after selling most of their wares. On the right people take a well needed food break.
A hearty THANKS to all the vendors and attendees who attended this year's LARC flea market, and provided some feedback to help us make next year even better.
