Join the South West Ontario QRP Club for "Freeze Your Buns Off" Field Day  - Sat. Feb 4 2006

The South West Ontario QRP Club will once again be participating in the FYBO  QRP Winter Field Day, on Saturday February 4 2006. We will be  operating club call VE3QRP (both cw and ssb on the hf bands) from Springbank Park in LondonOn.  

All hams in the South Western Ontario region are welcome to join us (dress warmly!).  This is a good opportunity to learn about QRP field operating. Here are the Rules for FYBO2006.

This year's contest starts earlier - 1400Z ( 9 am  EST).   So we will meet at the Tim Horton's on Commissioners Rd, west of Boler Rd at 8:15 am.  If you can't get up that early, join us anytime through the day at our FYBO site (the open pavilion near the parking lot  at the west entrance to Springbank park, across from Shoppers Drug Mart on Commissioners.  

Last year we went with a  very leisurely  multi-single operation, but if interest warrants we can go multi-multi and get several stations on the air.  Bring any rigs, antennas, or recent home brew projects for show-and-tell.

You may want to drop me a note ( ve3jc@rac.ca ) to let me know if you are planning to come, so I can keep you posted regarding any last-minute changes.
